Clinical presentation. A 64-year-old woman was operated on for sigmoid colon cancer. On PET-CT an FDG positive thyroid nodule and a lymph node in the left supraclavicular region were found.

Palpation: a hard nodule in the left thyroid.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.90 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the left lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 13x14x18 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: present.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: present.
