Clinical presentation: A 54-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of a thyroid nodule discovered on carotid Doppler examination. She has been treated for hypothyroidism for seven years.
Palpation: a soft nodule in the right lobe.
Laboratory test: TSH 2.71 mIU/L on daily 50 microgram levothyroxine.
Lesion in question:
the nodule in the right lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 17x15x21 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: absent.
Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
