Clinical presentation. A 33-year-old man was referred for the evaluation of thyroid nodules which were discovered by ultrasound screening prompted by extended recovery from myocarditis. The cardiac disease was diagnosed six month earlier.
Palpation: Both nodules contained one firm nodule.
Laboratory test: TSH 3.90 mIU/L, FT4 17.6 pM/L.
Lesion in question:
the nodule in the right lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 11x9x13 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: present.
Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
