Clinical presentation. A 49-year old woman presented with a 6 months history of painless bilateral cervical lymph node enlargements which proved to be PET positive as did two foci in her thyroid, one in the right and another one in the left lobe. The patient was referred for thyroid aspiration cytology.
Palpation: Both lobes were enlarged, and contained hard nodules. There were painless hard lymph nodes in both sides of the neck.
Laboratory test: TSH 1.56 mIU/L, aTPO 1 U/mL.
Lesion in question:
the lesion in the upper part of the right lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 18x12x22 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: present.
Pathologic adenopathy: present.
