Clinical presentation: A 43-year-old man was referred for aspiration cytology. He had discovered a lump in the right side of the neck several months ago.
Palpation: There was a firm mass lateral to the right thyroid. The right lobe was nodular on palpation.
Laboratory test: TSH 3.89 mIU/L, aTPO 0 U/mL.
Lesion in question:
the large nodular area composed of multiple discrete lesions in the right lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 29x22x32 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: present.
Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
