Clinical presentation. A 61-year old woman noticed a nodule in her right thyroid lobe 3 years ago. A thyroid carcinoma had been diagnosed recently in her neighbor which urged the patient to seek thyroid examination.

Palpation: a firm nodule in the RIGHT lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.18 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the LEFT lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 9x11x11 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: present.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
