Clinical presentation: A 74-year-old man was referred for evaluation of thyroid nodule discovered on PET CT scan which was performed because of herpes zoster.
Palpation: a moderately firm nodule in the right lobe.
Laboratory test: TSH 1.68 mIU/L.
Lesion in question:
the largest nodule in the right lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 19x15x23 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: present.
Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
