Clinical presentation: A 37-year-old woman was referred for aspiration cytology because of a nodule detected on evaluation of infertility.

Palpation: The right lobe was more firm than the left. The presence of a nodule was ambiguous.

Laboratory test: TSH 2.89 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the right lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 19x18x19 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: present.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
