In this section, it became more evident that the intranodular echogenic figures are related to tiny cystic areas, therefore they belong to back wall cystic figures and not to punctate echogenic foci (microcalcification) subgroup. The nodule is a heterogeneous lesion with a dominant hypoechoic portion.
