TIRADS - case 2222 (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Right lobe, transverse view. Iso/hyperechoic parts prevail over minimally hypoechoic ones. The question is whether this nodule should be regarded as a homogenously iso/hyperechoic lesion or a dominantly iso/hyperechoic, heterogeneous nodule. In the former case, this would be a TIRADS 3, in the latter a TIRADS 4 nodule. In my opinion, the hypoechoic intranodular parts correspond to (focal) lymphocytic thyroiditis and not to another pathological nodule-type entity. Therefore, I consider this as a homogeneously iso/hyperechoic, EU-TIRADS 3 nodule.
