Clinical presentation: A 43-yr-old woman was referred for evaluation of hypothyroidism. A TSH test performed under severe stress gave a value of 8.2 mIU/l a few weeks ago. The patient started taking 25 micrograms of levothyroxine three days ago.
Palpation: no abnormality.
Laboratory tests: TSH 3.18 mIU/L, aTPO 0.5 U/mL.
The dimensions of the lesion in the left lobe were 7x8x7 mm, width, depth, length, respectively.
