PAPILLON COURSE on THYROID ULTRASOUND

Section 1 Introductory courses

The introductory section has seven lectures, a manual and we present some case studies.

In the lectures we focus partly on theoretical aspects, partly on very practical problems of really basic questions. We present two lectures on the first type 1 Webinar on September 26, 2024, one on the Physics of ultrasound and another one on the Epidemiology of thyroid diseases.

Regarding the practical issues we focus on three problems. It is essential to deal with them in order to use the material presented in the course. This also serves as basis of starting ultrasound examinations in live patients. The first two themes are the finding of thyroid on ultrasound and the importance of basic settings. It is worth viewing these prerecorded presentations because we provide the opportunity to discuss the problems about these issues after the September 26 webinar.

In the second webinar on October 3, we deal with the role of imaging techniques in the evaluation of thyroid patients. At the end of this live event, we give the opportunity to discuss the questions that arise about the third prerecorded lecture which is about the interpretation of discrete areas on thyroid ultrasound.
