Clinical data: A 58-year-old man was referred for ultrasound examination. He sufffered from diffuse complaints, including dysphagia.

Palpation: no abnormality.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.99 mIU/L.

Ultrasonography. The thyroid was echonormal and had no discrete lesion of any clinical or oncological importance.
