Lower part of the right lobe, another transverse scan. The parathyroid lesion is located lateral while a small part of the echonormal thyroid can be seen medial. Ventral to these structures there is a muscle fiber. There is only small difference between the echogenicity of the parathyroid and the muscle, the former is a little bit more hypoechogenic.
