Discrete lesion or nodule in Hashimoto's thyroiditis - case 34 (479) (ultrasonographic picture 3b)

Left lobe, transverse view. A protrusion is marked with red arrow. The cause for this protrusion is more likely the consequence of the infiltration of the isoechoic lesion by the underlying thyroiditis (yellow arrows) and not the infiltrative nature of the isoechoic lesion.
