Lower third of the left lobe, transverse scan. There is an echonormal nodule in the ventral part. The hypoechoic areas at the medial edge of the lesion correspond to infiltration of the nodule by the thyroiditis. The lesion presents abutting and bulging contours, and the thyroid' capsule is absent at the abutting part.
