Echogenic figures - case 386

Clinical data: A 60-year-old woman underwent FNA a week ago. Four days later her left thyroid became painful and she had fever.

Palpation: The whole left thyroid was hard and painful.

Laboratory data: granulocytosis (11 G/L) and elevated CRP level (23.8 mg/L). The TSH was 2.95 mIU/L a week ago.
