Halo sign and vascularization - case conp 011 - part 1
Clinical data: A 35-yr-old woman has been treated for Graves' hyperthyroidism for 17 months. At first examination, the left lobe was more inhomogeneous compared with the right lobe, but an unequivocal nodule was not detected. We suggested a repeat ultrasound in a year.
Palpation: a hard nodule in the upper part of the left thyroid. At first examination, both lobes were enlarged but no nodule was palpable.
Laboratory data: subclinical hyperthyroidism (TSH undetectable, FT4 21.1 pM/L, FT3 6.68 pM/L).
