Clinical data: A 47-year-old woman has been treated for relapsing hyperthyroidism for six years. We had previously suggested surgery but she did not accept it.
Palpation: Both lobes were enlarged and moderately firm.
Laboratory data: TSH 0.01 mIU/l, FT4 16,7 pM/l on daily 10 mg methimazole.
