Clinical data: A 39-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of a newly diagnosed hyperthyroidism. She visited her GP because of fatigue, hair loss, nervousness and palpitation.
Palpation: no abnormality.
Laboratory data: TSH undetectable, FT4 51.9 pM/L. (The test was performed 4 days before the present examination.)
