Operated thyroid - case 1711 - part 2
Clinical data: A 64-year-old woman underwent on on right lobectomy and near total left lobectomy due to relapsing hyperthyroidism 6 years ago. Histopathology disclosed diffuse goiter. Three years after surgery, hyperthyroidism was developed. The patient refused radioiodine therapy, therefore, methimazole therapy was started. She had no complaints.
Palpation: no abnormality.
Laboratory data: TSH 29.2 mIU/L, FT4 6.28 pM/L on daily 5 microgram methimazole.Â
