Clinical data: A 54-yr-old woman was referred for follow-up of nodule which has been known for more than 13 years. Aspiration cytology resulted in benign colloid goiter two times in the previous years.

Palpation: no abnormality.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.36 mIU/L.

Ultrasonography. The thyroid was echonormal. There was hypoechoic nodule in the left lobe. The nodule had microcalcifications and macrocalcifications and showed taller-than-wide sign. The dimensions of the nodule have not been changed since the first examination.

Suggestion ultrasound in 3 to 5 years.
