Left lobe, longitudinal scan. A hypoechogenic inhomogeneous nodule occupies great part of the lobe. There is an acoustic shadow crossing the middle of the nodule. It is worth noting that this shadow starts ventral to the hyperechogenic patches. This is the consequence of calcification ventral and outside the nodule. Note patchy hyperechogenic areas within the nodule. These correspond to amyloid deposits.
