Polygonal cells are demonstrated. They are highly enlarged. Note the coarsely granular chromatin structure.

Extremely atypical, pleomorphic tumor cells. Note a single cell necrosis in the left image which is a very rare but almost pathognomic finding of a thyroid carcinoma.
