Compare the two series of pictures. At the first examination (left column), the patient had hypothyroidism (TSH 41.9 mIU/L), while at the second examination (right column) the patient was already euthyroid (TSH 2.43 mIU/L). The initially enlarged thyroid decreased in size and the increased vascularization became normal. On the other hand, the ultrasound pattern, i.e. the location of more hypoechogenic areas and fibrotic bundles remained unchanged. |
