1 There will be a learning material on the web during the entire course related to Themes 3 to 9 discussing nodule' characteristic. These include a short, prerecorded lecture, a voice narrated video lecture presenting several ultrasound videos, 10 to 25 case studies in each chapters.

2 Type 1 Webinar structure: Short summary of the topic (15 min) and discussion of 6 to 10 case studies which were made accessible to the Course Participants in advance (75 min). The edited version of the discussion will be presented on the web till the end of the course for those who could not participate at the meeting. These events will be mentored by T.Solymosi.

3 Type 2 Webinar structure: A 90-minute event split into 2 blocks. Each block is consisted of a 30-min live presentation followed by a 15-min discussion. The recorded presentations will be available on the web for the 4 subsequent weeks (pending speaker approval).

2.2 Case of the Month item

2.3 Exam

Exam for practice and for Course completion and Grade (see here). Five exams (see 'E' in the Table) related to major topics (see above).

There is a 6th exam which will also contain the questions of the speakers. Material for this 6th exam will be uploaded by May 10th, 2022. 75% correct answers are required in each to pass, with unlimited trial attempts. The deadline for completing the 6 exams is May 31, 2022.

 

3 TWO-DAY IN-PERSON TRAINING on May 19-20, 2023

This event will be held on May 19-20, 2023, in Budapest. During this 14-hour meeting live-patient examinations will be performed and we commonly analyse ultrasound videos. The number of participants is limited to 30 on first come first served basis.

 

4 INDIVIDUAL WEBINARS OF THE ADVANCED COURSE

Essence of this opportunity

  • 16 live webinars are announced which are all included in the Advanced Course.

    • Joint analysis of ultrasound videos. In these 7 events, a short summary of the topic is followed by common discussion of 10 to 20 cases.

    • Lectures. In 15 lectures at 7 occasions renowned international experts of the topic will held a 30-minute presentation which is followed by a 15-minute discussion.

    • In 2 webinars, a 30-minute lecture will be followed by common discussion of ultrasound videos.

  • The recorded version of the webinars will be available for a month after the event. This provides the opportunity either to review the event or to view the webinar for those who could not attend the event at the given time.

  • On the one hand, this is for colleagues who are only interested in one or another topic.

  • Colleagues who have attended previous courses may also be interested in the opportunity.

Basically, we try to fulfill the need of three different group of colleagues with the corresponding need and interest.

Colleagues who want to perform thyroid ultrasound by themselves but have minimal if any ultrasound practice (BEGINNERS).

Colleagues who are experienced in performing thyroid ultrasound but need to refresh their knowledge (EXPERIENCED).

Endocrinologists who do not wish to perform ultrasound themselves but use it in their everyday practice and want to get deeper knowledge for increasing their diagnostic skills (ULTRASOUND REPORT UTILIZERS).
