Follicular adenoma - Case 6. |

Clinical data: a 62-year old woman was presented with difficulties in swallowing.
Palpation: a nodule in the left lobe.
Functional state: euthyroidism with TSH 3.38 mIU/L.
Ultrasonography: the thyroids were echonormal. There was a moderately hypoechogenic and an echonormal lesion in the right lobe. The left lobe contained a large echonormal nodule. The nodule displayed a halo sign and perinodular blood flow and central cystic degeneration.
Cytology resulted in follicular tumor.
Histopathology disclosed follicular adenoma.
