Pap-smear, 400x. Oxyphilic cells are of even size. Pradoxically this increases the possibility of a Hürthle-cell tumor because in an inflammatory process the Hürthle-cells usually vary greatly in size. However, the lack of prominent nucleoli stands against the possibility of an oxyphilic tumor. Moreover, scattered number of lymphocytes are found even within the cell group.
