Lower part of the right lobe, horizontal scan. The ventral half of the lobe displays one of the most typical pattern of Hashimoto's thyroiditis: many hypoechogenic, small discrete lesions within an echonormal background. There is a larger hypoechogenic area in the dorsal half of the lobe.
