Parathyroid lesions - Case 3. (ultrasonographic picture 4)

Lower part of the right lobe, another horizontal scan. The parathyroid lesion is located lateral while a small part of the echonormal thyroid can be seen medial. Ventral to these structures there is a muscle fiber. There is only small difference in the echogenicity of the parathyroid and the muscle, the former being a little bit more hypoechogenic.
