Ethanol sclerotherapy: non-toxic solid nodules - Case 1 |

Clinical presentation: a 38-year-old woman with a nodule causing complaints. She was a teacher and therefore the risk of palsy of the recurrent nerve had to be avoided. FNAC resulted in a benign lesion.
First row: ultrasonographic picture before sclerotherapy. There was a hyperechogenic nodule with the dimensions of 28x26x34 mm (width x depth x length).
Second row: 6 weeks after the last session. The dimensions of the nodule were 19x17x24 mm (width x depth x length).
Third row: 10 months after sclerotherapy. The dimensions of the nodule were 17x15x23 mm (width x depth x length).
Fourth row: 5 years after sclerotherapy. The dimensions of the nodule were 19x16x23 mm (width x depth x length).
