Intranodular hyperechogenic figures - case 808

Follow-up investigation 3 years after first visit (ultrasonographic picture 2)

Right lobe, longitudinal scan. Beside non-specific granules and fibrosis there is a more hyperechogenic granule in the central part of the nodule. Thorough analysis reveals that this granule has a pale tail, therefore this is a comet-tail artifact.
