Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis - Case 42. (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Right lobe, horizontal view. A great part of the nodule is comprised of a multiple, nodule-like lesion composed of hyperechogenic pseudolobules divided by connective tissue. This is the typical pattern of the so-called micronodular form of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Avoid the misuse of the term 'nodule' in such cases.
