Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis - Case 43. (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Right lobe, horizontal view. The lobe is composed of multiple, circumscribed hypoechogenic areas divided by fibrous tissue. The multiplicity of lesions, the similar echostructure, the not geometrical shape are the clues which help to distinguish such lesions of thyroiditis from a true nodule.
