Right lobe, horizontal view

Right lobe, horizontal view. A relatively larger - 6 mm in maximal diameter - and several smaller hypoechogenic lesions. Even the multiplicity of similarly hypoechogenic lesions raises the possibility that the patient does not have incipient nodular goiter but autoimmune thyroiditis. We cannot decide which one is the correct diagnosis in this picture, therefore it is better to avoid to interpret such patterns as a multinodular goiter.
