Clinical data: a 39-year-old woman was referred for aspiration cytology. She was investigated because of 'lump in the throat' feeling.
Palpation: no abnormality.
Functional state: euthyroidism (TSH 1.08 mIU/L, anti-TPO 2 U/mL).
The lesion in question was located in the isthmus.
