Clinical presentation: A 50-year-old woman was referred for follow-up evaluation of a multinodular goiter which has been known for more than 15 years. The patient had no complaints.
Palpation: Both lobes were nodular on palpation.
Laboratory test: TSH 2.29 mIU/L.
Ultrasonography. The thyroid was echonormal. Both lobes had multiple small discrete lesions, partly echonormal, partly moderately hypoechogenic. There were no nodules of oncological significance.
Suggestion: ultrasound in 5 years.
