Clinical presentation: A 33-yr-old woman requested an evaluation. She has been treated with antibiotics for a mass in the right side of the neck which was discovered by the patient herself 3 months ago. The mass remained unchanged.
Palpation: a firm mass in the right side of the neck and a firm nodule in the isthmus.
Laboratory tests: TSH 0.97 mIU/L, FT4 11.7 pM/L.
The dimensions of the mass in the right side of the neck were 29x13x38, those of the nodule in the lower part of the right lobe were 8x10x13 mm while those of the nodular mass in the isthmus were 20x18x31 mm, width, depth, length, respectively.
