Clinical presentation: A 14-year-old girl came to a follow-up examination. I first met her a year ago when she was referred for evaluation of weight loss, palpitation. At that time the TSH was 2.99 mIU/L, the aTPO was above 1300 U/mL. On ultrasound, we have found a lesion in the left lobe with the dimensions of 6x5x7 mm, width, depth, length, respectively. Yearly TSH and ultrasound was suggested.

Palpation: Both lobes were firm, no nodule could be palpated.

Laboratory tests: TSH 2.27 mIU/L, FT4 12.8 pM/L.

The dimensions of the lesion in the left lobe were 8x6x10 mm, width, depth, length, respectively.

You will find questions for this case after the next case study.
