Left lobe, longitudinal scan. This is a dominantly cystic nodule which presents multiple hyperechogenic granules. At first sight, the pattern seems to be close to starry sky phenomenon. However, these figures are partly caused by posterior back wall enhancement, partly they have a dorsal narrowing tail which means that at least part of these figures are colloid crystals.
