Clinical presentation: A 63-yr-old woman requested a second opinion. Over 10 years she has been checked at another hospital for a nodular goiter. Seven years ago, cytology gave a reassuring result, while three years ago FNA resulted in Bethesda 3 (AUS).
Palpation: a firm nodule in the right lobe.
Laboratory test: TSH 6.57 mIU/L.
The dimensions of the nodule were 17x15x17 mm, width, depth, length, respectively.
