Over 6 years of follow up only small
differencies can be observed in gray scale pattern, there is
significant
difference neither in the degree of hypoechogenicity nor in the size of
the thyroid. Although the difference in vascularization may be
explained by the difference of sonographic equipments (the
investigation in 2007 was performed by Sonosite 180 while in 2011 and
2013 by Sonosite Micromaxx), the vascular pattern used not to be as
stable as the gray scale pattern in Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
