There is one larger field and there are several smaller echonormal-hyperechogenic discrete areas in the moderately hypoechogenic left lobe. The longitudinal scan discloses the so-called micronodular form of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Taking the whole pattern into account the largest hyperechogenic lesion may be a nodule in a pathological sense which was proven by histopathology. |
