The right thyroid presented the so-called micronodular form of Hashimoto's thyroiditis, while there were two larger hypoechogenic, nodule-like lesions in the lower-dorsal part. We cannot decide solely on ultrasound pattern whether the hypoechogenic lesions are nodules in a pathological sense or are not. Cytology resulted in Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

The patient underwent surgery. Histopathology disclosed Hashimoto's thyroiditis without any nodule.
