The right thyroid contains a hypoechogenic lesion presenting a complete halo. Although there are smaller hypoechogenic areas in the lobe, these are less hypoechogenic. The large lesion is a nodule in a pathological sense in all probability. The patient underwent surgery. Histopathology disclosed Hashimoto's thyroiditis and a Hürthle-cell adenoma in the right lobe. |
