There are several hypoechogenic-hyperechogenic areas in the left thyroid. Two of them resemble a multinodular goiter in longitudinal scan at first sight. The presence of similar hypoechogenic areas in the extralesional part are against the possibility that these lesions are nodules. To summarize: on ultrasound it is very probably that the lesions are not nodules. Cytology disclosed Hashimoto's thyroiditis. |
