The micronodular form also called as pseudonodular or pseudolobular form is a very specific ultrasound presentation of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. The thyroid or part of the thyroid is composed of numerous discrete lesions with a maximal diamater between 3 and 15 mm. The discrete lesions are usually echonormal. The cause for this type of lymphocytic thyroiditis is caused by proliferation of connective tissue. The thyroid is freguently enlarged.
