Cytological differential diagnostics - malignant lymphoma
Medullary cancer - Case 15
Thyroid lymphomas - Case 7: a large B-cell lymphoma

The cytological presentation of this medullary cancer highly resembled that of a B-cell lymphoma. In both cases. naked, atypical nuclei predominated the smear. Two differences are remarkable. First, polygonal nuclei predominated the smear of medullary carcinoma which is a rare phenomenon in lymphoma. Second, lymphoma presents the characteristic nuclear molding.
