This patient was operated on benign hyperpalastic nodules. 19 years later a Graves'hyperthyroidism was developed at the time of present investigation. The right lobe is composed of large hypoechogenic lesions with irregular shape surrounded with an echonormal rim. This is the usual presentation of a subtotally resected thyroid which is similar to a large hypoechogenic nodule occupying great part of a lobe. In fact this patient had no nodules in the right thyroid but presented several small nodules in the left lobe. The nodules in the left lobe are best seen in the right upper image. These lesions are hyperechogenic in this case and has a regular geometrical shape.
