There is a moderately hypoechogenic lesion in the central part of the right lobe. It seems to present a halo sign on horizontal view while on longitudinal view we can see several other, similar discrete areas. Moreover the hypoechogenic rim is in truth a linear figure which spreads even dorsal to the lesion - it cannot be the sonographic sign of capsule.
To summarize: althogh the lesion may be a nodule in a pathological sense, but it seems more probable that it is only the consequence of changes in the thyroid parenchyma caused by the surgical procedure.

The hyperechogenic lesion is well demarcated, it is solitary and presents halo sign and perinodular blood flow. All of these properties stand for being the lesion a nodule in a pathological sense.
